I was waiting for this anxiously! My advance copy did not disappoint! I can eat through this series like cheesecake! Bring on the next one!
Something happened in this book. Towards the end of the book the quotations marks were not there making it difficult. I don't know if this was author error or editing error but it should have been caught before printing. If you are going to sell a book you should make sure that it is correct before publication.
This book definitely needs better proofreading. Just two of many annoying examples "affection glance" instead of "affectionate glance" and "these filthy clothing." I realize that a typo or awkward phrase can slip through no matter how many times a manuscript is proofread, but this book contains far too many of them. I found it distracting. That said, I enjoyed the story. The plot is somewhat unusual, and I am interested enough in the fate of the unjustly-accused main character to look forward to the conclusion of this series. If you can overlook the lack of editing, it's a good story.
I really enjoy these series! They are a bit short, but it definitely a good read. I like the characters and the plot definitely holds my interest!
